Accessibility Statement

1. Scope

This statement applies to the website landscapecreations.de operated by Landscape Creations GmbH, including its German-language version. It is measured against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, conformance level AA, and the European standard EN 301 549.

We publish this statement voluntarily. Digital accessibility is part of a well-built website to us, regardless of what we are required to do. We welcome reports of barriers (see section 5).

2. Conformance status

This website is largely conformant with the requirements above. The assessment is a self-evaluation: heading structure, keyboard operation and contrast ratios were checked, the ratios calculated using the WCAG formula. No independent audit has taken place.

3. Measures taken

  • Content without JavaScript: the site is fully static. All text is present in the first HTML response.
  • Semantic structure: one main heading per page, a consistent heading hierarchy, landmarks for navigation, main content and footer, plus a “skip to content” link.
  • Keyboard operation: every link and button can be reached by keyboard, and focus is clearly visible.
  • Contrast: body text reaches 14.76:1, secondary text 5.85:1, links and buttons 4.97:1 — all above the AA threshold of 4.5:1. The lighter brand green no longer carries any text.
  • Two languages: each page declares its language, and the language switch leads to the corresponding page rather than the home page.
  • Scalable layout: content works from phone to desktop width without horizontal scrolling.
  • Alternative text: informative images carry descriptive alt text.
  • No motion: no auto-playing media and no flashing content.

4. Non-accessible content

We are not currently aware of any barriers. One point remains open: the assessment in section 2 is a self-evaluation; testing with screen readers from several vendors and an independent audit are still outstanding.

Text over the hero image: the heading and subtitle on the home page are set in white over a photograph. Contrast there depends on the part of the image behind the text and cannot be stated as a fixed value; we chose a consistently dark area of the image, but a calculated check is not possible here.

If you leave this site via a link to our shop, that website’s own status applies; this statement does not extend to it.
